Job Summary:
POSITION SUMMARY
Continually assess and monitor the overall financial viability and credit worthiness of assigned number of Harley-Davidson dealerships located throughout the United States and Canada in accordance with policies and guidelines established in the company procedures manual. This would include periodic formal written credit memorandums and recommendations for credit lines for existing dealerships, as well as more frequent monitoring and decision making throughout the year regarding ongoing risk assessment, temporary overline situations, and special credit line needs throughout the year.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Periodic Credit Memorandums and Recommendations
- Reviews and understands the corporate structure/ownership of the dealership and affiliate companies and insures that all documentation in the file provides adequate security in accordance with applicable guidelines.
- Works collaboratively with an Account Manager on an assigned group of dealers to understand Harley-Davidson Commercial Credit’s risk.
- Reviews and understands all Uniform Commercial Code information in the file to insure that HDFS maintains adequate access and priority to all collateral over other banks and lenders, etc.
- Reviews personal credit reports and Dun & Bradstreet reports for any signs of poor payment or other issues.
- Reviews and inputs the dealership financial statement information into Moody’s Financial Analyst software and any other required databases for peer analysis.
- Reviews internal payment performance of the dealer.
- Analyzes all of the above information and discusses with dealers as needed throughout the year for risk assessment on an assigned number of accounts as well as more formal credit memorandums that are approved by applicable authority.
Temporary Overlines and Special Credit Line Needs
- Reviews and makes recommendations on a daily basis for pending orders that take the dealership above their approved credit line.
- Reviews and makes recommendations on temporary or seasonal credit line increases, as well as used credit lines.
- Reviews and makes recommendations throughout the year on various dealership structure changes that may affect either HDMC or HDFS documentation requirements.
Other
- Performs other special projects and duties as assigned.
- Use effective time management to ensure customer service experience is satisfactory and meets expectations
- Protection of employees, customers and corporate information is everyone's responsibility at HDFS. All employees must follow established physical, electronic and procedural safeguards, including policies regarding data protection, segregation of duties, use of passwords, and access to information based solely on business need. In addition, any company-proprietary information (including but not limited to customer information) may not be transferred or transported outside of HDFS by employees upon leaving the company.

Education Required:
Bachelor's Degree required.
Experience Required:
- 2 years related experience in finance, banking, accounting, or other business field required
- Specific knowledge of financial statement analysis, concepts of accounting preferred
- Professional written and communication skills required
- Knowledge and proficiency in MS Office applications, as well as other computer skills required
