Job Summary:
POSITION SUMMARY
Under moderate supervision, plans and executes assignments to review, analyze, and evaluate business systems and user needs. Provides system support, maintenance, and/or project deliverables, such as business and system requirements, use cases, analysis models, and data models, as well as reports and queries where applicable. Expected to apply knowledge and experience to all project management and lifecycle activities of systems development. Establishes and builds strong working relationships with business users and technical team members.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Apply contemporary requirements elicitation, analysis, specification, verification, and management practices through use and continuous improvement of a requirements process.
- Lead, facilitate and document business and technical JAD sessions to surface essential requirements information in a consultative role, acting as liaison between business owners and technical providers.
- Decompose high-level business and user requirements into functional and non-functional system requirements, specified at an appropriate level of detail for use by those who must base their work on the specifications.
- Perform system analysis functions by examining existing business models and flows of data, and perform in-depth examination of system and integration specifications to create and document new and modified functional requirements.
- Perform requirements analysis and verification, ensuring that requirement statements are complete, consistent, concise, comprehensible, traceable, feasible, unambiguous, and verifiable, and that they conform to standards.
- Represent requirements information using graphical forms that augment textual representations, such as screen mockups, use case models, process flows, system flows, and data models.
- Manage changes to base lined requirements through effective application of change control processes and tools.
- Apply general knowledge in support of project management, working with team members to identify and estimate tasks and risks and report status and issues.
- Apply general knowledge in support of or leading systems development lifecycle activities, participating in reviews and inspections of requirements documents as well as other work products derived from requirements documents to ensure that the requirements were interpreted correctly.
- Work with developers and testers to assist with planning and executing functionality tests.
- Collaborate with developers to determine root cause for defects.
- Develop and deliver simple to moderately complex system reports and queries where applicable.
Education Required:
Bachelor's degree
Experience Required:
- 5+ years of applicable work experience
- High proficiency with Excel and Visio required
- Basic use of MS Word, PPT and Access required
- Knowledge of Project Management methodologies required
- Knowledge of Oracle database concepts required
- Knowledge of J2EE programming constructs required
- Experience with vendor and multi-systems integrations required
- Knowledge of user/system and system/system interactions across application domains required
- UX Design experience highly desired
- Understanding of Loan Originations processes highly desired
- Understanding of Business Process Management (IBM-BPM) recommended
