Job Summary:
The primary responsibility for the Senior Business Intelligence Analyst is to participate in the design, development, maintenance, and integrity of data, reports, dashboards, and scorecards used throughout HDFS.

This individual will support assigned portfolios within the organization’s overall business data, analysis and reporting activities. These activities include supporting the development of HDFS’ data warehouse, as well as ownership of dashboards, scorecards, and reporting as it relates to assigned portfolios. Although part of the Credit & Risk Management structure, the Business Intelligence team is responsible for data and analytics throughout HDFS (all non-Finance & Accounting reporting), and thus must maintain not only a Credit & Risk focus, but focus on Sales, Marketing and Operations as well. This position will be responsible for heading efforts related to extracting value out of company data, such as compiling data in support of marketing initiatives, creating data sets to enable sophisticated quantitative analysis, marrying internal data with external data to identify opportunities, etc. This position will deal with the business from a broad perspective and lead indirectly, working with partners in Operations, Finance & Accounting, Sales, Marketing, and the entire Credit & Risk team to provide strategic and tactical support. The Senior Business Intelligence Analyst will partner closely with Technology and the Business Intelligence Infrastructure Manager to implement data access solutions that are tailored to the varying needs and skill sets of the business users. This individual will work with the business to document common standards and data definitions, ensure data integrity, and lead data, metrics and analysis efforts in support of short-term reporting needs, as well as work on projects that support the future of HDFS.

Primary Responsibilities

- Support tactical execution of Harley-Davidson Financial Services data, analysis and reporting for all areas of HDFS outside of Finance and Accounting
- Provide management with targeted, incisive and succinct dashboards, analysis, and supporting reports that enable data-driven decisions
- Partner with Technology and the business to rationalize existing reports, obtain data, and create new reports and dashboards
- Ensure HDFS continues to evolve in its data integrity, analysis, and reporting capabilities in an environment of continuous improvement
- Lead design and implementation of Commercial Credit dashboards, enhanced monitoring tools, and risk rating model(s)
- Ensure that all recurring reporting requirements are created in a timely and accurate manner; analyze the results and provide incisive commentary
- Manage the prioritization and support of ad hoc data requests
- Lead data warehouse definitions, user documentation/library, testing, and recommend refinements
- Assist in the development of prototype analytical and reporting tools as well as training for all data-users throughout HDFS to ensure consistency and accuracy
- Spend time each year in the various business units to better understand their operations and appreciate their needs

Education Required:
Bachelors degree

Experience Required:
Experience and Knowledge

- Successful candidate will have 5+ years of financial services industry experience, preferably in consumer and/or commercial finance
- Experience in data warehouse/data mart builds
- Report, dashboard, and scorecard design/implementation experience
- Technical hands-on database reporting software skills, such as BusinessObjects, SAS, Crystal Reports, Cognos, etc. (experience with multiple software packages preferred)
- Advanced level Excel skills, VBA and MS Access preferred
