Job Summary:
The Senior Loss Mitigation Analyst is responsible for making the most complex decisions on accounts, and extensive analysis of a customer’s file. The Senior Loss Mitigation Analyst works with process owners (internal and external) to maintain and improve performance through efficient and effective use of resources. Develops, distributes and audits reports to track vendor and/or process performance and assist in developing benchmarks for vendor performance. Also, assists in evaluating implementing champion/challenger strategies between competing vendors. The Senior Loss Mitigation Analyst is expected to be a mentor/resource for others, recommend and drive continuous improvement opportunities, and coordinate team member task level training. Also, maintain SME level process knowledge for all department tasks. This position will occasionally require travel and if needed, will represent HDFS at off-site conferences, meetings, or court appearances as needed.

Primary Responsibilities

- Reporting – The Senior Loss Mitigation Analyst prepares documentation that analyzes, reflects and summarizes various data for the team and department. The information compiled is issued to internal HDFS sources and used to forecast results, create and monitor budgets, conduct and compare vendor audits as well as ad-hoc reporting. These comparisons will drive continuous improvement opportunities that will be shared and coordinated amongst the team and department. Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to summarize and present complex data in an organized, concise manner are required.
- Monitor and manage daily workflow to ensure attainment of departmental and corporate goals (queue review).
- Assists in testing and implementation of system changes, which results in seamless customer service.
- Provides supervisory support for Loss Mitigation team members to ensure appropriate coverage during all operating hours
- In absence of a manager, assumes the role of acting manager and uses management discretion in conducting the tasks of a manager
- The Senior Loss Mitigation Analyst’s general responsibilities include:
- Help to establish a culture of continuous improvement through collaboration and innovation, while using effective time management and CI skills to ensure the customer service experience meets expectations.
- Ensures that all steps necessary are taken to protect the interest of Harley-Davidson Financial Services.
- Protection of employees, customers and corporate information is everyone's responsibility at HDFS. All employees must follow established physical, electronic and procedural safeguards, including policies regarding data protection, segregation of duties, use of passwords, and access to information based solely on business need. In addition, any company-proprietary information (including but not limited to customer information) may not be transferred or transported outside of HDFS by employees upon leaving the company.
- It is the individual responsibility of every employee to maintain a current awareness and understanding of appropriate banking laws, regulations, internal policies and procedures, and to comply fully with those laws, regulations, policies and procedure.
- The Senior Loss Mitigation Analyst performs additional duties as assigned.

Education Required:
Bachelor's Degree Preferred

Experience Required:
- 3-5 years of relevant experience-must be in a Collection Associate III, Loss Mitigation II or Operations Specialist role
