Job Summary:
POSITION SUMMARY

Under limited supervision the Sr. Risk Analyst will maintain, analyze, and advance portfolio strategies that promote continuous improvement towards achieving company profitability and loss objectives. Partner with operational/risk leadership to develop and implement performance/incentive targets and tracking that drive successful operational behaviors.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
 Supports the design and continuance of Champion/Challenger strategies for Collections, Loss Mitigation, and Vehicle Remarketing; quantifies results, including the evaluation of the performance of external vendors. Develops and communicates recommendations for strategy changes determined by the strategy’s associated costs and benefits.
 Coordinates with Servicing leadership, IT project managers, and business consultants to gather IT Servicing project statuses and timelines. Communicates potential risks and cost variances to leadership to assist with prioritization and resource allocation decision-making.
 Regularly monitor/audit adherence to strategies and produce process gap analysis. Guide Business Intelligence to develop and schedule exception reporting to enforce business rules critical to strategies’ effectiveness. Serve as subject matter expert on system improvements that improve operational performance and enhance portfolio controls.
 Leads the full management of the custom behavioral scorecard, including strategy design and execution. Analyzes and makes recommendations for optimum risk/return scorecard trade-offs.
 Provides Senior Management team with periodic updates on portfolio strategies’ effectiveness and industry trends through benchmarking efforts.

Education Required:
EXPERIENCE & KNOWLEDGE

 Bachelor’s degree in quantitative discipline such as Mathematics, Economics, Statistics or Finance required

Experience Required:
EXPERIENCE

 5+ years Credit/Collections/Risk experience in financial services industry required
 Strong database aptitude and/or SAS programming skills
 Ability to distill complex analytics to readily understandable business recommendations
 Creative thinker, problem-solver
 Strong verbal and written communication skills
 Proven contributor in a team environment with the demonstrated ability to interact effectively with all levels of staff
