Within the HDFS GIS Service Strategy & Portfolio Management area the Portfolio Team Lead for Commercial will manage the Commercial portfolio of business and GIS technology projects, enhancements and overall stakeholder satisfaction of the commercial IT services. This role will support the VP, Director, and Managers of the Commercial line of business. This position will manage the commercial portfolio including prioritization of projects in alignment with the business Work Unit Plans, maintain the portfolio budget, managing portfolio schedule, facilitating portfolio governance, project management and providing operational escalation support. The role will provide the portfolio project leadership to Initiate, Plan, Execute, and Implement the projects to meet objectives within budget and on schedule. This role will report to the Process Technology Manager Corporate and Commercial and will collaborate with other business portfolio project and IT managers to manage overall project dependencies and resources.
Responsibilities:
The key responsibilities for this role include:
- Support the VP, Director, and Managers of the Commercial Line of business to delivery on business priorities
- Support the Director of IT and Service Strategy & Portfolio Management to ensure operational maintenance of the commercial services
- Report to and support the Process Technology Manager, Corporate and Commercial to ensure overall Commercial portfolio objectives are aligned to HDFS Business unit objectives
- Management of the commercial applications and services including floor plan financing (Infinium), commercial loans (JHA), commercial credit (Moody’s), and data management (EDW, Crystal, and Business Objects)
- Manage the Commercial Portfolio governance process including facilitation, portfolio budget management, portfolio schedule management, and operational support.
- Manage Commercial projects thru the Initiation, Planning, Execution, and Implementation and Close phases of a project
- Structure project plans to identify critical path activities and simplify complex sequencing win and across multiple projects
- Manage cross functional teams across departments, divisions, and vendor IT service providers
- Manage budget plans, forecast, actuals, and purchases associated with assigned projects
- Manage Clarity project plans, resource allocations, forecasting, status, and tracking
- Effectively manage project resource allocations, usage, and work activities
- Manage and report on project status, resource management, and financial management in support of GIS regular portfolio reporting and governance meetings
- Manage projects using the HDI Project Management Methodology (PMM) and Service Management Delivery Lifecycle (SDLC) processes and tools
- Manage vendor resources, SOW’s, deliverables and work associated with approved projects
- Meet project objectives on scope, budget, schedule and quality
- Provide leadership and day to day management of the GIS commercial team members including the Business Analyst, for commercial
Education Required:
Bachelor’s degree required. Advanced degree preferred
Experience Required:
The successful candidate will have the following experience and expertise:
- 10+ years of Project Management experience
- Experience managing a service portfolio
- MSProject and/or Project Workbench Expert
- Clarity Practitioner
- Ability to manage 4-5 projects in parallel
- Ability to manage teams of 5 to 15 team members, contract, and vendor resources
- Effective status reporting and presentation
- Effective at issues identification and management
- Effective at risk identification and management
- Effective team leader
- Highly self-motivated and self-directed.
- Ability to collaborate within a team while exercising independent judgment and initiative.
- Ability to work under pressure, meets deadlines, and be flexible in working on multiple projects simultaneously.
- Flexibility to work nights and weekends in support of technology implementations outside of business operational hours
- Project Management Certification (a plus)
- ITSM Certification (a plus)
