Job Summary:
Under general supervision the Consumer Credit Analyst II is responsible for making complex decisions on loans, using the criteria from our automated credit scoring system. The Consumer Credit Analyst II may occasionally make decisions beyond the organization’s guidelines. The Consumer Credit Analyst II will assist with the training of new employees on processes and procedures.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Process complex credit applications
- Conduct complex analysis to be used in decision-making
- Training of new employees
- Handles inbound/outbound calls to address complex inquiries from business partners/customers via telephone
- Uses effective time management to ensure customer service experience is satisfactory and meets expectations.
- Researches and resolves pending credit applications
- Backs up Underwriting teams as needed
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Protection of employees, customers and corporate information is everyone's responsibility at HDFS. All employees must follow established physical, electronic and procedural safeguards, including policies regarding data protection, segregation of duties, use of passwords, and access to information based solely on business need. In addition, any company-proprietary information (including but not limited to customer information) may not be transferred or transported outside of HDFS by employees upon leaving the company.
- It is the individual responsibility of every employee to maintain current awareness and understanding of appropriate banking laws, regulations, internal policies and procedures, and to comply with those laws, regulations, policies and procedures.
Education Required:
High School Diploma
Experience Required:
- 1-2 years of relevant experience
- Experience with computer systems
- Keyboarding/data entry skills with moderate speed and accuracy
- Ability to handle large volume of credit applications and customer inquiries
- Flexible and open minded
- Ability to prioritize work flow to meet department objectives
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Detail oriented & highly organized
- Good problem solving skills
- Ability to handle a large volume of applications
- Ability to work in a fast paced, time sensitive environment
- Possess good communication skills
- Confidentiality essential
- Courteous phone skills
- Customer service skills, internally & externally
- Maintain a solid attendance record, including tardiness
